Dwayne Jhevon Woodley: Speaking Through the Spectrum

Born on April 26, 1993, in the sun-kissed U.S. Virgin Islands of St. Thomas, Dwayne Jhevon Woodley’s journey has spanned oceans, states, and the vast inner landscapes of perseverance and purpose. Though his early life took root in the vibrant Caribbean, it was in the sprawling cities of Houston and Dallas, Texas, where Dwayne's story began to take shape—a story defined not by limitations, but by the powerful choices that would shape his destiny.

Diagnosed with autism at the age of three, Dwayne’s early years were marked by challenges many couldn’t see—but he felt them deeply. While communication, especially public speaking and writing, once stood as towering obstacles, Dwayne didn’t stop at acceptance. He chose transformation.

Music became his first language, a medium through which he could express emotion and truth. This passion carried him through school and into higher education, where he graduated from East Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. Every note played, every performance delivered, became a statement—not just of talent, but of triumph.

But Dwayne’s voice was never meant to stay quiet. He is now the proud author and advocate behind Speak Your Spectrum, a platform that gives space and strength to voices on the autism spectrum. Through his writing, Dwayne doesn’t just tell his story—he empowers others to find theirs. He inspires readers to see autism not as a limitation, but as a unique way of experiencing and expressing life.

Away from the page and the stage, Dwayne is a loving husband, who has been with his wife for a total of eight years and married for five. He is also an avid music producer and gamer, channeling his creativity into beats and digital adventures. Yet, what defines him most is his character: diligent, unwavering, and guided by the wisdom of his mother’s words—

“The choices you make will determine your life.”

And Dwayne has made his choice—to speak, to rise, and to inspire.
